A. The gas at 300 K, is placed in an external magnetic field of 1.5 T. Compare the difference in potential energy for the two possible alignments of the NO magnetic moment with the external field with the average translational kinetic energy of the molecule.

B. At what temperature would you expect to see significant magnetization?
