Question:
Process Change/Reengineering is essential in today’s competitive business environment:
What is the biggest concern of employees charged with the task of identifying process changes or reengineering?
Answer:
The main concern in Business Process Reengineering is analysing the current company system and planning the new system in which the company will, ideally, be moved forward to. First, the process to be redesigned must be broadly defined in terms of cost or customer value in order to improve performance across the entire business unit. Additionally, the redesign must penetrate to the company's core, fundamentally changing six crucial organizational elements, or depth levers: roles and responsibilities, measurements and incentives, organizational structure, information technology, shared values, and skills.
