Dear Online Teacher, The Homework Authority team would like to welcome you as our newest Online Teacher (OT). Before you can begin, I would like to outline what the terms for all of our OT's. Employment Expectations We expect that you will 1. Adherence to HomeworkAuthority.com's procedures and guidelines for posting. 2. Make yourself readily available to our staff via phone or email. 3. Acknowledge that accepting a posted question signifies your commitment to your answering it before the posted deadline, your understanding of the subject matter, and your ability to properly answer the question. 4. Commit to regularly monitor your account for new questions or feedback from clients. 5. Commit to professionalism in communicating with our clients (i.e., no foul language, no derogatory remarks or comments that may be offensive to any group, race, religion, gender, creed, or person). 6. Never exchange personal information (name, telephone number, address, email, competitor, or anything that will reveal your identity). 7. Complete your accepted work in a prompt and efficient manner, ensuring that the question is answered to the best of your knowledge. 8. Answers to our Post-A-Question service will be done in a step-by-step format to allow students to gain a better understanding for the answer. 9. Accept that all answers submitted via HomeworkAuthority.com become the property of HomeworkAuthority.com. Payments HomeworkAuthority.com is committed to providing assistance to students world-wide, and our teachers are an integral part of that commitment. We provide students with a variety of convenient payment methods, allowing unobstructed access to our service. A standard fee of $3.99 is paid for every credit purchased by a student; the cost to a student to bid for each Post-A-Question will range from 1 to 30 credits, depending on the level of difficulty and the urgency of the response. Our OT compensation is based on a per-response rate of 60% of the bid credit value. For example: If a student bids 3 credits for a response, the OT answering their question will make $7.18 (3.99 x 3 = 11.97 x 0.60 = $7.18). This amount will accumulate in the OT’s account and will be paid-out via PayPal once the balance reaches $50. Payments will be made around the 5th of the month to those with balances of at least $50. Upon payment, the balance resets to $0 and begins accumulating again. Another valuable attribute of our service is our site's Answer Library. In this section, students will find previously answered questions that can be purchased at reduced rates starting at $0.99 per question. The solutions to these questions will be attributed to the specific OT who originally answered the question. A royalty system is implemented to compensate the specific OT on a residual basis, so long as they continue to answer questions on a weekly schedule. Each time the solution to a given question is downloaded, 50% of the proceeds will be applied to the Online Teacher’s account. By agreeing to these terms, you accept the position of Online Teacher.
